  4. Hi everyone I'm a lifelong fisherman (74 yrs old) and also a writer. I published an eBook, earlier this year called 'SOMETHING FISHY', The book is getting really great reviews and Amazon are running a promotion on it this week. So, for two days only, you will be able to download it for FREE, on 21st and 22nd August. The Amazon book description is: "This is an hilarious comedy, 'Something Fishy' tells the story of five men who become kids again when they embark on a weekend fishing trip to the west coast of Ireland. There is lots of fishing done, but there are plots and counter plots during the trip. Two of the men lose their false teeth, but one of them gets his back again. Of the five men only four go fishing, while the fifth man is otherwise engaged with his 'bit on the side', Big Mary, (with life changing consequences for him!) The events that occur on the fishing trip create tensions between their different personalities. The strong bonds of old friendships are tested and, as in life, there are winners and losers. One of the men doesn’t make it to Ireland, he bites off a bit more than he can chew, with Big Mary, and, for him, life will never be the same!" If you like laughing, larger than life characters, drinking Guinness, more laughing, sex and lewd humour then you will certainly enjoy reading this book. Anyone who has been away for a 'fishing weekend' with the lads will probably identify one or two of the characters in the book, with people from their own past experience. To read the customer reviews, and get your free download on 21st and 22nd August, click on the link below. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Something-Fishy-ebook/dp/B00B1T6T9U/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1376997018&sr=1-1&keywords=Something+Fishy+by+Ian+McKay. Tight lines. Kingfisher.
  5. Thank you for your kind words Elton; I'll try and put a little meat on the bones of your post. As a lifelong angler, probably like most of the other members of www.anglersnet.co.uk I have had some rib cracking laughs when out fishing with the boys. Anyone who has done a 'weekend Away' with the lads will know exactly what I mean. So, at the age of 74, I've decided to share some of the mad antics and hilarious experiences I've had, in the form of a book. (Available on the Amazon Kindle Platform.) The book, entitled, 'Something Fishy' starts in Liverpool, then moves over to the West coast of Ireland, before moving back and concluding Liverpool. It chronicles the exploits of five men who set out for a sea fishing competition of the coast of County Mayo. The book was only published at the end of January and has already attracted some good press, (a couple of 5 star reviews), to see the reviews, click here: ==> Something Fishy reviews. on the Amazon web site. Anyone who likes going fishing, (Don't we all.) laughing, sex, drinking Guinness and farting, should enjoy this book. If you read the book, and you like it, I would appreciate you leaving a review for me. Apparently, if a book gets lots of good reviews, Amazon push it higher up their list and start to promote it for you.
