I have been looking through pages and pages of poles and whips on internet sites and still have no clue what to buy. Can you please explain to me the difference between a pole and whip and also whether or not you have to elasticate both if they do not come elasticated. If the best option is to buy one and then elasticate either yourself can you please also show me how to elasticate it. I am basically new to poles and whips so any info will be helpful. Thanks

Hi all , went carp fishing recently and used a fox bolt bubble to surface fish. The problem was there were some strong winds at times which blew the float along with my rig to where the fish wernt. Does anyone have a solution to stop the float drifting away? One idea i have thought of is fishing with the wind so that it does not blow it of course but this is not always practical as it is quite a big lake. Any help grateful

Hi all , have seen some people on the lake i fish using plummets to find the depth of the water, i have never used one before and have heard they are of a real use. Can anyone show me how to use one ?

Visited local tackle shop today and found there was mono and braid line, wasnt sure which to buy. What is the difference and which one do you use for which fish??? At the moment I am fishing for mostly carp but I do some tench and bream fishing, which line is best for me?
