    i live about 5 mins from the wandle and have fished there for about two years now and love it. people still think that the wandle dont hold alot of fish but i can tell you it does. i have never fished it and blanked in two years. i have had good catches of chub, barbel, trout, bream and carp also the occasional perch. as i live close by i visit the river with my glasses alot not to fish. so i believe i know the river quiet well now. and have had my eye on a barbel that is always in the same stretch, but just cant get him. i have sat within feet of this fish and i believe that it is atleast 14lb if not more. if go on this sites search engine and type in (fish i have caught on wandle) you should see some of my pics. hope i have been some help.... flava115.
