Hi .. and thanks for replies. As most of these tapes were recorded up to and over 15 years ago I would imagine that they are all analogue. They all play on my old (non digital) video player. Once I can get the files onto my PC I have video editing and DVD burn. My problem seems to be transferring the video to my PC. I cannot see any "video in" slots on the back of my PC so I assume that I have not got a video card installed with this function. Hi folks .. I have no doubt that you have been asked this before, but a scan of old posts revealed nothing. I have a collection of 100+ video tapes that contain things that I would like to keep, but they take up a lot of room. Is it possible to play a tape from a video player onto a PC, then record what you have on the PC to a DVD disc ? I know it will take a long time and a lot of messing about, but the collection is worth storing onto a more convenient system PC Windows XP2 350GB main drive. 50GB slave drive. DVD play/write. Thanks in anticipation ...
