(if you're reading this davy email me please!) i couldnt find the article on AN i'm really looking forward to some decent sea fishing, and i've finally managed to convince my girlfriend that fishing isnt a waste of time when i mentioned that if a caught something suitable, we could eat it. i knew she'd see the light eventually!

i'm off to the isle of mull in september and fancy doing some fishing there, i havent sea fished for years but i think i've got tackle for most situations, spinning, beachcasting, floats etc. has anyone been up there and know any good spots??

on the smaller pits, try a float set up with worm or corn. green lipped mussel boilies are good on the bigger pits

check out the shimano hyperloop, i think you can get a 2.5lb one for about 35 quid. they're fantastic rods

a while back i was fishing with my usual fishing buddy, he was after pike and i was ledgering, using a single red maggot on a size 18 hook, i had the tiniest of bites and when i reeled it in it was a jack pike about 6 inches long. my mate who was after pike never got a bite all day, he hardly spoke to me for the rest of the day
