if you microwave the luncheon meat for about 20 seconds,lt will float.good for surface fishing,or on the lead as it will float just off the bottom.

i found the best bait for large carp on lakes is a chunk of crusty bread,on a size 8 hook,10 lb line direct to the hook,with a few large shot to aid casting.but moisten bread then dip it in curry powder i use bait-bands to hold the bread.
