I'd also say that you have added too much. One thing that you should bear in mind is that the fish don't actually eat the Ultrabite: It is an attractor that draws fish into your swim in search of food items. The more you put into the water the more it will disperse-this means that the feeding fish will be spread out in a wider area in front of you. I have been using Ultrabite for the past year and find it to be really good for river carp. I add it to my method mix and put a line of the mix out across the river. The Ultrabite slowly releases from the method mix and flows downstream, drawing the fish upstream towards my hookbait and freebies. I add one bottle to 5 kilos of method mix now which may sound very little, but it works for me. If you want to see some of my catch reports visit www.fish-on.co.uk Hope it helps. James If you're fishing a water similar to one I do and trying to bring the carp up in the water doesn't work very well you could give the lift method a shot. I have found it works really well with small soft pellets hair rigged and covered in van den eynde pellet paste, feeding a few grains of corn every five minutes. Bread flake is also a killer bait on this method. Cheers Boz

I've got tickets for the mens singles final at Wimbledon on Sunday July 7th and could really do with some information about travel to and from Kingscross. I'm thinking of getting a Taxi from Kingscross to Wimbledon and back, but could do with a rough idea about how much it is going to cost me. Or is there a cheaper way to do it that isn't going to be too difficult? Any help would be gratefully appreciated people as I know very little about traveling in London. Cheers Boz

Maxey number one is the big lake on the opposite side of the dirt track from Gerrards. Not sure of the exact price, but it's around £150 per year. It is stuffed full of Carp, average 10lbs but there are some twenties. It also holds a number of Cats. Lolham is a 12 acre lake a mile or two down the road with fish to thirty pounds plus. This is around £80 per year, Bainton also in the area has a number of lakes with various stockings of Carp There are also a number of other lakes in the Maxey area. Might just take you up on the offer: either here or in Leicester. I was born in Leicester and remember seeing huge carp in a canal near Blaby when I was about ten (18 years ago) I started my prebaiting campaign today and went to the river in my lunch hour to put in 5k of maize. Hi Peter. My advice would be to get a few issues of 'Web Pages Made Easy' magazine. You get a free program with every issue. The best I have found so far is a prog called 'Web Personal Edition' I know very little about html etc but built my site with no problems what so ever and uploaded it on freeservers. I do a lot of time on the banks of the Nene and would be interested to share my own knowledge with a couple of other Cambridgeshire Carpers to see if we can help each other locate a few more productive areas.
