Can anyone advise on why the circlip holding the brake blocks in place came off during mid cast,causing a right mess ,smashing the brake blocks and scoring the inside of the block guide.the circlip was positioned so that the join was away from the two gaps.any feedback will be greatley appreaciated.also how do i remove the levelline gear on the lefthand sideplate,if possoble....

Did you catch anything on your holls ?. its a fibreglass blank my mates grandad was given a pair as a retirement prezzie.the other is a darker blank not so good condition,i havent seen it yet its having new eyes fitted.i didnt notice the tip ping ,i was to busy watching the lead dissapear mousey

still here ,im presuming the squidders your on about are multi not fixed ,im still a learner and used fixed spool .i had a cast with the victor in a field 4 oz lead wow what a caster .it put my shakespear xk4000 to shame.

Thanks guys ,it also has the name victor beside the hardy badge, the ring is about five inches from the tip the next one and a half times not twice any good .also is it of any value (should he use it or keep it indoors). does any one know of a site thst might have it on

cheers spasor.I have been using an abu terminator not jointed ,also a creamy coloured surface popper whitch seems to be the better of the two.how often should i change trebles i think they might be blunt,also will the same fish grab the lure on another cast or is it another fish ?. thanks for the tips mousey

im still missing fish at sidmouth how hard do i strike when the fish takes the lure.they keep bouncing off.

TRY USING SAND EEL ,SQUID,IVE HAD GOOD RESULTS USING BOTH OF THESE .I CAUGHT A LARGE POUT ON A WHOLE CALAMARI SQIUD ,LUG ALSO WORTH A TRY AS THERE ARE WORM BEDS ON BEACH TOWORDS CHARMOUTH.IVE NEVER TRIED THIS BEACH LOOK PROMISING CAN BE FISHED FROM RAILING AT END OF PATH ,USE ROTTON BOTTOM LOOKS SNAGGY AT .TAKE A LOOK AT LOW WATER .GOOD LUCK WOOTON ,WHEN YOU COMING DOWN MOUSEY

walk around to the boat morings and out to the end ,the harbour entrance .i find the fishing better on your right ,its a bit deeper ,50 yard lob will put you in fish . plenty of pout and dogs .chance of bass closer in .pollak also on spinners mousey.
