Hi all, I apologise if there has been a lot of these posts before but I'm fairly knew to the forum. I'm looking for some bargains on eBay. Anyone recommend any good deals? Not looking for anything in particular, but may look to stock up on some leads and bite indicators if you could recommend some. Who's got a bargain for me? Anything carp related. Thanks.

Did you ever fish Belfont in Crai? And anyone know anything about the syndicate at the Dderw yet?

A small farm pond (1 acre) near me stocked some grassies a few years ago to try and tackle the weed problem they had. I was advised to try bread crust and dog biscuits, but had no luck. Eventually had a 6lb on double red maggot!! Only other one I've had since was a 14lb on cell at Celtic lakes. Very hard fighting fish, and tempted to go back to the farm to see what size they are now, as it was 2008 when I caught it...

Hi all, I know of a lake that is re-opening and would like to give it another try. It originally opened in 2005 and was stocked with carp and tench. At this time they were small, biggest around 3lb, with the majority around the 1lb mark. Just curious as to what size they would be now, anyone have any idea? It hasn't been fished a great deal...

Fished the larger of the day tickets at the Dderw yesterday, 13 carp ranging from 7lb to 16 lb. Anyone had any luck?

Thanks. I have been keeping an eye on eBay but there doesn't seem to be any consistency for the Allcocks rods, some not fetching any bids at £5, yet some I have seen hit £45. I will be posting them all on eBay at the end of the week. Fingers crossed...

Just curious as to what hook baits you think are 'over rated' and 'under rated'. Can be a variety of reasons, but would just like to see if there is a specific trend between us... For me: Over rated: Tiger Nuts - a lot of talk about them locally, but failing to produce results for me and friends! Under rated: Halibut pellets - disregarded on one of my lakes, yet i'm catching consistently with them, keeping it quiet though Dale.

Shame about the PLM. The only one around Cradoc I know is the Gludy, catch and release trout lake...very nice lake and some very good fish in it! Type it into google to look at their site. No idea about the one near Llanfrynach though. Do you know of anyone that is a syndicate member at the Dderw in Llyswen, I fancy giving it a go! How did Ponde go today?
