Norfolkdipper

grew up in South Park Norwich. Learned to fish & swim on river Yare between Cringleford bridge & Earlham park. Went to where ever I could afford to fish, normally around & in the city. Saw a 28lb salmon taken by Pulls ferry once & 12lb carp by the Duke st bridge. One year a huge shoal of smelt came up river & got stuck at New Mills Yard, the fishing lasted for about a week with every schoolboy / girl with a rod taking free fish home. So fishing is in my blood & was missed for several years due to ill health, all sorted now. My PBs are :- 50lb of rudd in 1 day from UEA lake, (before being syndicated) & a 28 lb 12 oz pike from same. My aims are to catch as many species as possible as a pleasure angler, for as long as I can. Using an electric chair if I have to eventually. Would like a waterfront home with about 100ft + of moorings so I can invite friends for a session or two. Spent a fruitless period as a carp / lake angler & have now given that up for real fishing. Always planned to teach my children to fish, but had 3 daughters, who took after thier mother, so that went wrong. Lost my first & only schoolboy match at Riverside Norwich, cos I thought 'Cocky Ruffe' didnt count & through them back, would have had second prize as well.
