Hi, I new to sea angling but I used to do a lot of course fishing a few years back. Recently I bought mayself a Kiddy StormPro 12' Beachcaster (4-6oz) and a Okuma L5000 fixed spool reel from http://www.devonangling.net/ when I was on holiday a few weeks ago. Could anyone advice me on the best casting method to use? I've been using an 'over the head' casting method but I'm not sure this is right or adequate for sea angling :confused: Thanks Chris

Hi, Thanks all for your posts. I think Brean Down and Minehead sound good places to go. My wife is quite happy to watch the wave, but not for too long though. So shopping sounds a good activity for her. Also my daughter is only 11 weeks old so as long as you have food and nappies to hand she's happy too Littlefeathers, if you could ask around for more info then that would be great, thanks. Hi, Wheres the best place to fish around the Severn Beach? Or is it better to go further afield, say Minehead? I'm pretty new to sea fishing and have just fished at Slapton (South Devon) and would be greatful for any advise about fishing on the Bristol Channel. Ideally I'd like to go somewhere *nice*, if you know what I mean, as I'll have my wife and daughter in tow Any advice would be great. Thanks Chris

Hi, I regulary go to Kingsbridge, South Devon, for weekends and the odd week and spend a bit of time at Bee Sands. I've noticed a lot of people fishing there and thought I'd like to get into this but don't know the in's and out's. I've done course fishing now for a few years so I'm not shy to the whole fishing thing. What I'd like to ask is can anyonerecommend some equipment, rod, reel etc to get me started beach casting. Also what would be the best bait to use? Many thanks Chris
