Have fallen in a few times over the years. On one occasion having consumed some Merrydown a friend and I were watching a shoal of big chub on the Kennet. I told my friend not to make so much noise and to keep down. At that point I toppled over into the river. Another friend did a rather good cartoon of the event, with the caption "The unspeakable after the uneatable after consuming the inevitable" Plus ca change! Hugo

I shall put on my thermals, country shirt, wool jumper, guernsey, moleskin combat trousers. Thick pair of socks in walking boots. Put on the Gore-tex French Army issue. A thermal balaclava. I shall roam after chub and perch Yesterday the Medway was spot on for barbel. Alas I had commitments and could not fish. There is always another day. Regards Hugo

Good morning to you all! I am on various fishing forums. I started with Waterlog and when that finished moved on to BFW. BFAMW is a lot of fun........ Am also on Fishing Magic etc.....etc I have been an angler since the age of seven and am now sixty-three. Spent many years concentrating on chub and barbel but am now more interested in general fishing but very keen to catch large perch and gudgeon, as I am a member of GUGGS. Regards Hugo
