Does anyone happen to know anything about the lake behind Henry Kranks gunshop in leeds cannot find any recent info re this lake since 07-08 I know its members only and year price is £100 (Is this about average for this area?). Also is there any other lakes in the area?

After many years ive decided to get back into fishing.... Only problem i seem to be having is i find nowdays i have forgotten more than i know and there is soooo much different fishing tactics then i can browse at. Many sites seem to say the traditional rod,reel,float and basic hook are not good enough for carp fishing anymore is this the case and if so please can someone give me some basic guidence as half these websites seem designed for people with common sense/knowledge of these methods lol.

Never used a hair rig have gone them in my box but never used due to lack of knowledge. I used 6mm soft pellet and size 16 standard hooks

I normaly start with a standard hook size 16 untill i gauge the area i am fishing. I have never used a hair rig. The pellets i bought were soft and i think 6mm . I had used them once before with success so thought id try them now after years and could not keep them on when casting. I do have some in my box but never got round to trying them out due to lack of knowledge.
