where abouts are you going on the trent

i was talking about a rest that points your rod tip up high i see others using them on the trent

we might be getting rid of ntl so it would be nice to see a bit of matt hayes and john wilson on normal tele

what are them big rod rests called that they use on the river i think i might get one as it would be easier to detect bites p.s where could i get one from

when casting your rig out and a pva bag full of bait out won't it break your rod because i thought thats is why you use a spod rod for so your rod doesn't break while casting large amounts of baits

where do all you carp anglers get your bait so cheap from the only place i know is haiths could you please tell me if there is anywhere else that is cheap

thinking about going on the lake

i have heard so much good and bad things about winter carp fishing and i wanted to know is it worth my while going fishing now or should i wait until it gets warmer

doesn't the stop knot get caught up on the reel and on the line guides of your rod because when i'm casting futher than usual i sometimes have knots in the line (from when i have joined some more line on the reel) and it gets caught up and restricts my distance. there is a lake near me and its very deep (more than 12ft) and i want to float fish it can anyone help me with deep water float fishing i can think of a few things that i wouldn't know wht to do like casting with a depth bigger than my rod can anyone help

i've fished there before but i didn't catch anything (fished the river and the first lake) tell me how you get on

one of the fish i'm trying to catch is chub i've never caught one before, my friend showed me a little stream called the witham it has some good chub and pike and lots of small gudgeon. can anyone give me some tips on how to catch chub and do they stop taking as much bait in the winter or is it alright to give them quite a bit of feed.
