You really are a star chesters.
p.s. probably the one over the stable.

Johnny,
What size of carp are we talking here?
A few points may help;
Try using a fixed heavy feeder or a method feeder to try and get the carp to hook themselves.
I would also opt for a bigger hook, perhaps try a 10 or 12.
Also think about stepping up the breaking strain of your hooklength, you don't want that bigger fish your after snapping you at the net. Also experiment with the length of your hooklength.
Don't see any reason why you can't use bite alarms with your feeder rod if that's what you want to try.
Have you tried a hair-rig?

How about a loaf of Kingsmill chesters?

It is a great site, the vast majority of regulars are a great bunch of caractors. Be warned though, one or two regulars are yet to grasp "humour" and are not to "Brit" friendly. Overall a fantastic site with a friendly atmosphere.

Would you throw in a golf lesson to go with them.
I played golf a few times, great sport, just couldn't hit the ball higher than 6ft off the ground and usually 80yds to either side of where I was aiming.

Good read Newt, seems all had a great time.

Not trying to be confrontational Newt, just curious.

Again, not knocking you, just interested.

Great
Seat box, continental box or chair?

Chair for me, but if you go for this option i'd recommend you choose one with an aluminium frame over the cheaper steel framed chairs. You really notice the difference when on a long hike to your favourite swim.
p.s. My fishing pal sometimes uses a pole and just turns his chair around 90 degrees, works for him.
