Acorn Fisheries in Clevedon is OK, they have a 30, but there are loads of small carp! There is a golf course by the Astec west roundabout in Bristol (sorry cant remember the name) that a has a good carp lake, its got a 30 and a good head of fish but its right next to the motorway, so not the most relaxing place! Give Bristil Angling a ring and ask about it! Cheers Jon

I just bought 25kg of Ewe Nuts from a farm store for £4.50, they are supposed to be a good alternative to pellets. Has anyone used them? If so how did you get on? Cheers Jon

A good example is Carp R Us Gizmos and Gemini Snood clips, I cant remember the prices, but the gizmos are about 3-4 times the price and they actually buy them of Gemini. Gemini have the machine and make them, Carp R Us buy them, give them a new name and package and quadruple the price! Cheers Jon

Someone I know is selling a Fox Euro pod, I wanted an X Pod Plus, but am wondering about getting the Euro pod now. Could someone who has one or has used one tell me what they think. How stable are they compared to the X pod, how small do they fold down and how quick and easy are they to set up and take down. Cheers Jon

What terminal tackle do people use, in particular what type/brand of line/Braid and what hook arrangment. I am going to fish it free running with a four ounce inline lead, and a 20mm pop up. I have a Fox Stalker Shelter with Stalker Shelter Groundsheet and a Fox Classic Pod with 3 rod euro buzz bars for sale. £60 for the shelter and groundsheets £25 for the Pod and Buzz Bars They are as good as new and have only been used twice (I think I have eeven got the boxs they came in).
