  1. hope your right pete blotting paper or not have you read his previous posts this is Q&A lets keep it that and way and keep the poachers(information robbers away from this site) and more as whats happpenin where we live now stop it you will pay
  2. thanks pete but doing it and talking about it are two different things, experience and time on the water are the most important then putting those learnings into practice when i started angling they were the way forward and you never took your eyes off the teacher watching what he was doing how he did things etc: and low and behold one fish and now i,m a fisherman thoughts that how we all learne
  3. although i,m not the most the prolific poster (more of an observer) having read most of your posts from the outset you seem to be bleeding this site for information to set up your own site with just the same info as is available on here only secondhand. you seem to just trawl the net looking for snippets of info to get people interested then use them for your own means . fairplay god loves a tryer but i was under the impression this is a Q&A forum with the odd bit of banter from the regulars . your posts are annoying (ask chesters he,s on to ya ) so unless you have anything (which i doubt is interesting )to tell us please do it on your own site!!!! then we dont have to read it sorry to be negative but there are good posts then theres YOU
  4. did not read this story myself but totally agree that if it was deliberatly stalked it should have just been transfered to another water . they should be ashamed of themselfs and why is this practice legal???
  5. going to mexico in june and my son and myself are thinking of going sea fishing on a charter boat hopefully and i,m wondering if anybody has experienced this before and could give some pointers as to what we,ll catch and the type of fishing (deepsea, surface lures etc),thats the most productive. having never sea fished before i cant wait and any info would be brill i,m staying in playa car which is between playa carmen and cancun
  6. good lad nathan i have many pictures of me holding good fish but no scanner to but them on here. Recently bought a digital camera and other bits so hopefully will be posting soon as a good-un graces the the net!! watch this space
  7. nathan this is more of a history lesson as to how you began fishing rather than a diary of how your recent fishing trips are going at the moment give us more details , pictures , and locations of your latest catches ,baits used ,rigs, methods etc. and it could be more interesting reading
  8. i,ve seen some publicity stunts in my time but this is a belter what better way to attract fishermen to a certain river thats being rejuvinated
  9. well said nathan we need to support the good ones and boycott the badly managed/run ones for the future of the sport as most of the practice, learning, teaching of fising goes on at commercials
  10. i fish two commercial fisheries and both contain good quality hard fighting fish all the wild life you expect to see around water and good safe surroundings to let my son do his own thing (talking to other anglers looking at wild life and just being by the water)i whould say that commercial fisheries are the way forward in this country and many more quality ones can only benifit the sport we as anglers decide where to fish and if somewhere is badly stocked or not well looked after i would not go there again and suspect 95% of all anglers would do the same so i cannot understand how these "bad commercials" still exist and where they get there funding from
  11. thanks nugg but i thought the whole point of fishing is to catch fish same as going out on the town you go where the women are
  12. why are commercial waters getting such bad press at the moment, and whats so special about river fishing. i thought fishing was a pass time/hobby for us all to enjoy no matter where you catch

    How much?

£8 pounds is the most i pay but i have seen the money being put back into the fishery with landscaping, new disabled pegs and proper toilet facilities which for me is an investment to the future fishermen in the area
  14. the bit of kit you have is a whip not a pole the line is tied directly to the metal ring you described on the very tip with float and hook beneath. have never used one myself but due to the limited amount of line on the whip i suspect there used for small silver fish that do not run too far as playing anything bigger could damage the whip or more importantly the fish when hooked and lost.starter poles are available now for as little as £40 with all the required bungs , connectors , elastic etc
