  5. i went fishing yesterday (monday 18th may) at 4 am, i went to 3 ponds what im a member off, i started on the flash pond first which is full of roch perch rudd chubb crewys tench and carp, the peg i was on was a little island, its a great peg if you can get it going, so i set up my pole and all that and plumbed the depth and that, and then i started fishing, i was fishing just to the side of a small island,i used aniceed hemp as loose feed and my hookbait was maggot and hemp, for the first half hour i had loads of little perch n roach, only about the size of my little finger, then i though to myself ill push my float up to make it deeper then i started hitting the crewys,i was catching them nearly every cast on the drop and on d bottom, by the time 6am come my face was burning from the sun and i forgot my umberella,so i thought ill go to the other pond next to it,this 1 is surrounded by trees so u can sit in the shade n that,i decided to fish a peg wat everone calls the bay, this peg is set back from the others and there a lot of lilly pads to your right and a few to your left so i set up again and started fishing on the bottom,i was fishng to the right of the peg along the pads, there was lots of movement in the pads,so my first flick out on my pole and bang a nice roach then out again it took me straigh away,a skimmer this was happening for a few hours i was catchinh roach perch skimmer rudd, but every time i changed my maggot or i caught a fish i was filling my feeding cup with hemp on its own then maggots on its own then both of them together,so everytime i caught a fish and changed my maggot i was filling my feeding cup, this was the first time ive ever used a feeder cup,i was well inpressed by it, by the time 12 o clock come the water started getting too warm and the bites were getting slower and slower so then i decided by 1pm it was time to go, im going fishing again tomorrow at the same places(tuesday 18th may)im gonna fish the bay again i think but this time ill fish about 9 or 10 meteres out along the pads
  6. my fishing season started last night(saturday) gutted i was in work on nights, anyway i thought to myself ill go on monday morning at first light, cause if i go to day sunday it will be full of kids,so ill leave it till tomorrow, i think ill pole fish tomorrow, ill have one rig on the bottom and one a few metres deep, do u think i should get 2 swims going or shud i fish on the bottom and a few metres offf the bottom in the same swim, im gonna use maggots, hemp, ive never used hemp before so shud i use it as free bait or hook bait. also in this hot lovely weather should i fish on the bottom if i go early on in the morning. just bought loads of preston rigs,£2 each, they are really nice rigs
