Judy, you could try a houseboat!or one of the bungalows along the river, and then hire a day boat as suggested by yourself.I must say we found the fishing better after dark.As the day boat is what it says(you arn't supposed to travel after dark),you either fish during the day which in high season would be horrendous,or more up for the night and fish. The beauty of a cruiser is, if the fishing is poor you have your home right next to you.
All i can say is that we went in late September and it was pretty quite,so go on give a cruiser a go.They give you instructions before you are on your own. Chuby

Hi I used to visit a specialist site, but have forgotten which one(have been off the int net for some time.Try using a search engine(google),that should throw up a few.
Even though it wasn't a bad site,it was still a little quite at times.

Hi Butiaboy, some of the stock at pets at home can be a bit iffy, having said that i have bought stock from there that has been fine.Even buying from a tropical fish shop does not guarantee good stock. In both cases, even if the fish look ok,how does one tell how long they have had those fish for!,certainly guppies are pretty short lived, hence the need to reproduce so fast.As i said earlier i have some pakistani loaches (grow to about 3")which are a little barbel like in appearance(sort of anyway),and have had those for nearly four years.

Judy,im sure that with the light touch of a nurse's hand, a 30 foot cruiser would be a doddle
Really they are quite easy to handle ,no really they are,it looks daunting to start off with, but you soon get the hang of it.

Mmmm, thought I may not have been alone,I said the rollers were poor quality, infact they were total crap.
The delivery also was not on time,I think my daughter had to chase them up twice.
thats it they have lost my custom for good.

Hi.I have a couple of community tanks.Have some black Neons,2Pakistani Loaches,Neons and Golden Barbs in one,in the other i have Guppies, some ruby headed Barbs(similar to tiger barbs)which are very peaceful and some Emperor Tetras.I am on the look out for some kuhli's.I dont have real plants, tried them but think with under gravel filters they just dont do well.
Enjoy your new tank.

Hi,anyone purchased any gear from Badger! If so have you been happy with either the service or the goods. My daughter got me a Pole Roller from them as a xmas present.Quite honestly the rollers were poor to say the least, but the tripod seemed ok.Used it twice and one of the extending legs sheered off.Have written and e.mailed them,so far no response!!.Anyone on here had any problems,as i really cant see them putting it right, and at present would not buy from them again.

Hi Judy.Sorry cant help with Ashlea pools, but if its Shropshire you are set on going to,i have been to Bank Farm in Arley a good few times. The river severn runs through ,although close season of course at end of March. They do have a couple of pools on site though.Plus there are a whole host of fisheriers very close at hand, probably within 20 minute drive. We are off to a new place this year in the Bridgenorth area, which has 3 pools on site,if you want any more info please ask.chuby

Hi Judy.Give a cruiser a go,they really arn't that hard to manouvre. As for the thurne,i would say give it a go.Hickling broad,Candle dyke and Deep dyke in particular can be very good.I think it was Peter Waller who advised me to go into the tackle shop at Potter Heigham for info, and the guy put us right. We had Bream to 8-12,with others around 7/7-5,loads of smallish roach and a sprinkling of pike.Only a drastic change in the conditions stopped us really getting into the bream. We had a cruiser with dinghy from the boat yard at Hickling>
