after you have cast out and you are happy with you intended cast ,let out a couple of yards of line and then use a peice of braid or power gum and attach it to your reel line,clip it back up and then recast, if its not right move the slidding knot you made with braid or power gum to suit .once right day or night as long as you pick out a mark (marker float or a oject to aim for )you should hit the desired spot every time

hi all, surely the bench mark is the fish that are in the water that you fish,you can only try to catch what in there . you set your own bench mark . if your happy catchin a certian challenge(a lot of crowded waters). or to keep away from the crowds (fish for the un- known with a bigger challange)
