well i never, i was just reading sandtigers article in the page on the skate bash and i can't believe i actually beat the great unapproachable one at something in his own back yard i had a double shot of blackmouthed doggies last april on baited hokeyes, that day we had 6 of the little sods on the boat, wierd wee fish, you expect them to be like LSD's, all squirmy, but they feel more like a limp bit of cooked pasta :confused: bonny wee fish though

hello, seeing as i am par of the AN clique now i would like to ask for some advice on the area i am going for my holidays first 2 weeks in july. i'm staying at the "hafn y mor" holiday park, i believe its bang on the beach not far from pwllheli, i'm not really into shore fishing much these days but i could be tempted to try spinning and plugging for bass. i asked about bringing my boat down but i would have to leave it at the carpark at the reception and i don't fancy having to empty everything out of it after each trip. so.... any advice on boat availability in the area would be much appreciated thanks in advance

the sun??????? too up market for my boat' we are confirmed "daily or sunday sport" readers, nothing better than the problem page of the sport when you are waiting on a bite, mind you only on the saturday of a 2 day trip as after all the beer on the sat night you daren't take your eyes off the horizon for fear of shouting for hughie on the sunday

hi, thanks for the warm welcome, yes davy, that would be great, in your own time of course, i don't think i'm going for skate again for a few weeks my back is still sore from that last trip when me and gordon got 4 in the boat and 1 lost stevie also told me about your trace with the large split ring and the plastic pipe that passes over the top swivel, sounds better than the ones i made with the captive zip slider, mind you, i have only lost 1 fish in 8 trips and that was because the main line had been damaged by a spur on the doggie rod when they tangled. alan, not been approached to join a clique yet, but i'm open to offers, either financial, sexual or just the offer for some good fishing les

hi davy, congrats on your big catch at the weekend m8, a sore back in the making that where did you fish, sound or firth...if you don't mine me asking? stevie was showing me the wind-on leader you sent him a couple of week ago, quite a smart and ingenious item, don't know if i would trust myself to make it rightthough, probably cost me the proverbial fish of a lifetime....lol les
