He thinks he’s some sort of Laird or Lord that we should all tuff our forelocks to, he’s a racehorse owner don’t you know, fecking hilarious, and gets invited to “personal” race days where he can look down on us peasants and feel good about himself. But as they say, ‘self praise is no praise.’

An amusing little article popped up on another group today concerning Whitby, Lobsters and a lawsuit which makes no mention of Brexit, but it makes no sense whatsoever of anything sensible, legal or provable! He might adapt the news reports to add a Brexit theme but since it’s all provable rubbish anyway perhaps best that ‘Whitby’ just gets added to the block list of most and let him rant and rave amongst others of similar intellect.

Do you write for a newspaper Paul? Your sensationalistic way of putting things, suggest yes, but the ideas behind them suggest that you merely copy it from the media rags that you approve of.

I too watch the news and will amend one of your claims, from, "Farmers shouting today about a no deal brexit and its affects".

To, 'Some farmers have been speaking out about a no deal Brexit and it's affects', and will add, 'they have been speaking out about the same thing for some time'.

You forgot to mention that in the same report, farmers, especially those on the border of NI and Eire, were more concerned about the delays caused by uncertainty, than the actual, eventual outcome.

Can you see, a difference in tone, Paul? One just presents the facts, and leaves the readers to form their own opinions, by adding it to reports from other varied sources, and from their own experiences . The other, (your seemingly preferred method}, attempts to lead the reader into visualising hordes of pitchfork yeilding, tractor riding farmers, shouting and waving banners in protest. Oops, hang on, this is the UK, not France, so maybe at least holding regular public protests, and ocassionally shouting 'boo', and 'swine' to those in the other camp.

The Government mostly has a duty to lead, but also to listen to the people as to which direction they should be going.

We had a referendum, and the people of the UK said leave, by a small percentage majority, but still leave. The UK Parliament had a vote and decided to implement Article 50, by a massive majority, I can't be arsed looking it up, but I think it was around 480 for, 80 something against. In 2017, we had an (ill timed) General election, the results of which were a decisive win for the parties with leave Europe in their manifesto. Incidentally, if you say I have voted Tory, by voting to leave, then (using your own logic}, you voted leave by voting Labour in the General election.

When in the middle of discussing/bartering over a deal, then it's hardly conducive to getting the best result, if you lay all your cards on the table at the start. If you were trying to sell something, would you publicly emphasise all the negatives about your product before stating the positives? As I said before, if you actually think about a subject then you can visualise at least most of the negatives for yourself, so don't need it to be published. Some disgruntled prick will probably 'leak' it anyway.

This is why we find ourselves in the situation we are. From the pre-referendum days the remain camp have continued to emphasise the assumed negatives about leaving, and hardly stressed any assumed positives. This has led to much of the remain camp, going almost apoplectic with fear and rage, over a possible (note the word, possible), outcome, ie project fear. (Now where on here have I read about gullible people swallowing stuff 'hook line and sinker'?g.gif ) This in turn has bolstered the stance of the opposition/competition, by leading them to believe we're so desperate that we would just roll over and take anything. Now, three years down the line, we have a PM, (that incidentally I don't like, and have also described as a 'buffoon'), who is trying to install some backbone into our side of the negotiations, but running into the other side that have been lead to believe we are a pushover, and can't really negotiate, without losing face. That, as well as those who voted remain, still running round stabbing people in the back, because of what was fed to them over three years ago. That's despite the fact that much of what was predicted as inevitable soon after a leave result, has failed to materialise.

I've said this before Paul, but it's one of the most repeated forecasts on this thread.

I wish I had the financial means to invest heavily in fans, and cleaning products, as well as anti diarrhea medication, because if you are right, then the amount of shite, that will be hitting millions of fans, and flying about the place, will all need a good cleaning afterwards. That could also explain your emoticons depicting you laughing your head off at the prospect of all this shite flying about. You've taken note of my observations, and raided your mattress, to invest in said products! By adding that Theresa May, will also be splitting her sides laughing, leads me to believe that you might have even gone into a financial partnership with your arch enemy.ohmy.png

    That's such a Tory thing to donono.gif

The solent has been full for decades

Yarp, the Solent never empties, a small proportion of it flows away, slightly higher than the volume of water entering from (such as) Medina and Southampton water. The majority goes out and comes back in again, hence burials at Sea are regulated and have been for aeons in Solent, have to take part in certain areas but still a proportion turn up back on beaches.

Most of the stuff in the press is crap! (excuse the pun) sewage discharge is far better now than it ever has been and the seas are certainly cleaner than when I was a kid. There is virtually no discharge into the Medina @ Fairlee now but some are noticing the amount of filter feeders in the river is highly diminished and are asking Southern Water to let some effluent in.

  4. Marcus  Ball, the slimy attention seeker who last year made a big show of trying to take Boris Johnson to court for ‘lying’ during the EU referendum. Well, Well, Well, His case was not only torn to shreds and thrown out by the High Court, it also concluded that £350 million is an acceptable gross figure for Britain’s weekly EU bill

THATS THE BIT ON THE BUS FOR THICK READERS.

Ball has now thrust himself back into the public eye, declaring on Twitter that because Boris is a “known liar” (something the British court system clearly disagrees with), he had no choice but to send an FoI request to St Thomas’s hospital to find out whether Boris and the medical professionals who treated him were telling the truth about his serious case of coronavirus. What a tosser, more administration fees and more money for self entitled remoaner lawyers to steal from the NHS budget.

However he has allegedly decided that the Court System is under such pressure at the moment that it serves no purpose to pursue an action for this, his latest barmy idea that will no doubt have Willy Plonker and the like salivating in expectant ecstasy. Not sure what Ball is going to do with the thousands of pounds in crowd funding, give it back? đŸ€”

More importantly on here, I think this was one of many different stories that was going to result in Boris going to jail according to some of limited intelligence.

    WRONG AGAIN GIMP.

  5. Meanwhile at the bat cave

The EU continue to fund Putin to the tune of €15billion per month.

Well, the U.K. might be being conned by some importers bypassing the rules by mixing oil in tankers (happened throughout every ‘crisis’ since Suez) but at least women and children aren’t subsidising energy costs here with their lives like they are in Ukraine for the EUSSR.

But the bloody FILTH that dribble on here make me sick when I read independent reports coming out from the area. And NO, I don’t agree that we should be the policeman of Europe, but there again I do not agree on an awful lot, if not the majority of crap in MSM concerning sewage discharge during high rainfall etc etc, apparently all due to Brexit.

So norway isnt charging suppliers to use the grid ,more profit for suppliers

Willy Plonker looked at the headline, had a very brief moment of sheer ecstasy and could hardly contain his excitement as he reposted it here obviously thinking it proves a point of some sort. I believe this has happened in the past, once or twice, maybe more!

As you say “grid charges” are paid by suppliers, not producers. Suppliers save money and are probably expected to pass on savings to the customer, perhaps some of them might.

This is not a British problem. Sewage pollution affects rivers and seas all over Europe.

In 2017, Spain was referred to the Court of Justice of the European Union for failure to comply with the Urban Waste Water Directive.

In 2019, pipes were found to be pumping waste into the sea near Costa del Sol.

There are dozens of similar reports in the last few years.

Same problem this year, on the Costa Blanca.

Trouble is, your irrational hatred of Britain and Brexit, causes you to see everything through a single lens. You can't simply accept that something is a problem that needs to be addressed, you have to tie it to the tail of your favourite hobby-horse and catastrophise the whole thing.

Time for another holiday for you, I'm assured that Spanish turds smell sweeter.

Two million cubic meters of sewage finds its way into La Seine from Paris alone every year, ultimately that river empties into the same area the frogs accuse us of polluting. the frogs are taking action on this the same as the U.K. Sewage mixed with rainwater during storms empties into just about every city in every country in the World but traitorous turds like Willy Plonker only repost the bias crap. If they would all just **** off to that place they prefer it would be better.

Problem is that if Clod goes swimming in Spain then we actually are guilty of U.K. turds polluting their seas.

  8. The Eurozone cannot survive in the long run – unless Germany stands ready to write off debt – which means accepting Political and Fiscal Union. But Germany is not ready to do that.

Their nightmare is a domino debt effect that lands on their doorstep. They already face a Target 2 debt alone of around Euros 2 trillion.

Recently, Bundesbank president Joachim Nagel made statements to the effect that the ECB cannot provide open-ended support for the weaker euro-area members.

The former chief economist of Deutsche Bank, Thomas Mayer, published an article in Die Welt in which he ridiculed ECB policy, implying that Germany would be better off ditching the euro and replacing it with the Bulgarian lev, which he argues is now the better-managed currency, backed as it is primarily by German government bonds.

What action might the Germans take next?

Their government could pass a law to adjust Germany’s contributions to the EU to reflect any disproportional reduction in ECB purchases of German government bonds vis-à-vis those of other euro member countries.

So, were the ECB to reduce its relative purchases of German bonds by, say, 10%, Germany could automatically cut its EU contributions by 10%.

Mere debate around such a law in the Bundestag would possibly ignite yet another euro area debt crisis, to which the ECB would most probably respond, by doing some variation on what the above proposed law is designed to prevent.

In other words, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and one that, in a death spiral of soaring funding costs and escalating ECB interventions, sends the Euro down the tubes.

But the EU has a habit of threatening governments that misbehave with financial destruction.

They try to scare them into acceptance of policies and put a Quisling in place to enforce their bidding. But for how much longer will that work and will Germany succumb as easily as Greece and Italy?

Bring back destructors and burn it to make electric or ferment it to make gas and use the residue as fertiliser .Once they realise whats now a waste product that can be sold the problem goes away

Went through that a few years ago if you remember mate. Built a low cost anaerobic generator lined to a generator, solved the problem of excess CO2 due to cold weather in U.K. linked it all together with a stock tank for selectively bred tilapia and a growth bed for pond weed. Took a while to work out jet size for carburettor on generator but just kept increasing drill bit size, it’s not rocket science.

Demonstrated the whole thing to two members of local council and MP. They were well impressed but it’s just combining several older techniques.

Got a reply back from the powers that be. “Methane is a greenhouse gas. Methane is BAD. Goodbye.”

All previous studies had focused on much smaller areas, such as individual streams. “The most important message from our study is that chemical pollution is a large-scale, not just local problem,” says SchĂ€fer.

The risk appears to be highest in central European and French rivers, especially those that empty into the North Sea from the Netherlands and Belgium.

  11. Minimum Wage, worst thing that happened to some sectors of employment, especially agriculture. Hard to remember now but I started working around about eight or nine. The reason I was able to earn a few shillings was the work was paid by productivity. I could work picking potatoes alongside a grown man or woman, I couldn’t compete and had no desire to do so.

Back in the seventies or early eighties hod carriers who were “good” could earn a small fortune every week by working hard and outperforming other workers.

Bricklayers earning similar funds by laying a thousand bricks a day, being fed by hod carriers able to supply them at a rate they could use.

Along came the minimum wage and all of that went out the window! I suppose I shouldn’t complain too much, at least I had the ability to earn money, today, thanks to Clods EU Directives and Tony BLiars  interference there is no dairy industry in this Country and a bloke that can lay a thousand bricks a day gets the same £12 as a bloke who can lay 100. So guess what? The productive bloke slows down.

Soft fruit producers are no longer able to pay by productivity and a similar rot sets in. Exactly the same problem is now occurring in Spain, France, Italy and even Germany not renowned for food production.

The problem with the U.K. is NOT that we left the EUSSR, The problem with this Country is that we joined it in the first place! Well, not joined the EU. That choice was illegally and immorally removed from voters by Major and Blair. The U.K. never joined the EUSSR, Those two did.

  12. Canadian-owned hydrogen fuel cell manufacturer Loop Energy will extend its presence in Europe later this month by expanding into the UK.

“The UK’s strong pool of manufacturing and design talent will help take Loop to the next level.”

Loop Energy’s newest facility will be based in Essex next to a growing group of manufacturers helping decarbonise road transport, including current customer Tevva Motors, the hydrogen and electric truck OEM which is based in Tilbury.

Loop Energy has already started to recruit for the roles at the new facility, with employees assisting in the areas of production support, customer support and inventory.

The move is in reaction to growing customer demand for Loop Energy’s fuel cells in continental Europe and the UK, where diesel and petrol vehicles will start to be banned from 2030.

Loop Energy, which is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and has raised $100 million CAD so far, is targeting the commercial vehicle sector, including buses and heavy goods vehicles (HGVs).

Diesel and petrol HGVs made up 18% of all road emissions in 2019, amounting to 19.5 metric tons carbon dioxide equivalent (MtCO2e), according to UK government data.

The market for zero-emissions commercial vehicles continues to evolve quickly and Loop Energy is well positioned to provide its technology and expertise to help OEMs and others decarbonise the transportation industry.

The announcement comes just a month after Loop Energy signed a multi-year fuel cell supply agreement with UK-based Tevva, which includes delivery commitments in excess of US$12 million through 2023.

Elsewhere, Loop Energy recently entered the Australian bus market as a supplier of fuel cell modules to Aluminium Revolutionary Chassis Company (ARCC) and the company has seen its order book grow substantially for its technology, with 52 purchase orders in the six months to the end of June, up from 13 over the same period last year.

Loop Energy President & CEO, Ben Nyland said:

“We are excited to open a new facility in the UK, where both the private and public sector is quickly growing around decarbonising commercial vehicles. We were pleased to see the UK government’s recent commitment to the hydrogen sector, with the Business Secretary’s pledge to unlock £9 billion investment needed to make hydrogen a cornerstone of the UK’s greener future.”

“Our investment commitment for the UK market is strategic to serve both UK and the rest of Europe. We expect to service a truck and bus market size upwards of US $15 Billion over the next 2 to 3 years, and our UK facility is established as the localised support centre for these vehicles. Our investments to the UK will grow in lock-step with the growth of our local OEM customers, and our investment strategy will align with the timing and volume of our ecosystem partners as the industry ramps up supply to this market.”

“We also believe that the UK’s strong pool of manufacturing and design talent will help take Loop to the next level in its growth story.”

UK Business Minister Lord Callanan said:

“Hydrogen is likely to be fundamental to cutting emissions across some of our largest forms of commercial transport – from buses to heavy goods vehicles. As the world shifts to cleaner transport it is critical we embed a UK supply chain that can capture the economic opportunities of hydrogen technology,”

“Loop Energy’s expansion in Essex is fantastic news for the region, bringing green jobs and growth, while adding to the UK’s reputation as a leader in hydrogen and fuel cell research.”
