you maybe right my friend, but we are a fishing club and for the time being we are more focused on sea conservation. If you do not feel you want to visit it's your decision to make. I can tell you that trapping and shooting of birds has a long long history in Malta and was very popular also with British citizens staying in Malta over the years. I can assure you that it is improving as time goes by and law is being enforced much more than you think nowadays. Important note to keep in mind is that every country has something very bad abound to it. I can remember a time English supporters used to travel around the world making a big mess in football matches. I can also remember the time I was in Manchester watching United playing in the 80's. A lot of racism anthems and scuffels happening. Should I not visit England for this?

hi Jeff, you can phone me directly on my mobile nr 00356 79476448 and we can arrange some fishing excursion if u like. It is important to know that fishing license is not needed in Malta. You can use light tackle with a running float method for mullet at this time of the season it is very effective. Or else you can do all sorts of shore fishing. Some offshore fishing will give best results with dorado, albacore and tunas this time around.

hello guys....big game fishing for albacore, tuna, bonito, dolphin fish and swordfish just started in MAlta. For any information on fishing trips we can offer you @ http://www.misterfish.com good holidays in our lovely island
  6. hello Alex, I bebbuxu, I use poppers in Malta and also with a result. I managed some 30 barracudas last year using spinning cranckbaits (mainly Rapalas, Yo-Zuri and Halco) I find the Rapalas work brilliantly in calm waters. Be sure you use the florocarbon lines if you're fishing from shores. Local dealers tend to stock quite a great variety of poppers around here.

Ahi oki! So no we do not have any coarse fishing around! We only practice sea fishing both on shore and off shore for big game in early summer. I do not think it is fair to blame malta as a place for big headed hunters! I do not like hunters but I admit that the majority of the hunters on the island are very prudent in the way they hunt! There are people in MALTA who are putting so much pressure on these so called hunters and are trying to demolish their sport forever. I do not think this is good!

What is exactly your meaning of coarse fishing? Do you mean competition/ match fishing?
  10. We do trolling for tuna, bonito, dolphin fish etc... in Malta and sounds from engine seems to help a lot in trolling. We notice that also the path of bubbles left by the proppellors are of great importance. We notice different catches when we use 2 engines and when we use only one engine
  11. hi beachcasters! how much do you estimate an average cast (in metres) with a proper rod?
