  2. Excellant stuff mate, Great flounder and Bass, dead jealouse. We headed out to Dolphin Sands yesterday, then tried X-Ray, then an hour in the harbour before sun down, nothing but dog's and pout, one small Bass off Brownsea Castle. P.s It was fricking Baltic out there! Have a good christmas all Scott
  3. --> QUOTE(Norm B @ Dec 21 2006, 05:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> January's SAN in the shops tomorrow, Friday, some nice fish in there, luckily there was a break in the weather or it would have been a very thin issue. Saw the pic of the 31lb'er today in Poole Sea Angling Centre, jezzzzzzzz thats one big cod!!! Scott
  4. Think the only comment that would'nt of gone a miss is to say how sad that story is, and my thoughts go to his family. Scott
  5. http://www.fisica.uniud.it:8080/zones/:Europe/London Might help you out Skippy Scott
  6. --> QUOTE(Norm B @ Dec 20 2006, 05:36 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes it was caught on smoothhound, that's the name of the boat. HI, I have pictures of both fish and a story but please feel free to supply another in case it' a better one. Just mailed you at SAN Norm Scott
  7. Nice one Darnsarf, December /January is notorious for big ballan's, a lot of specimen hunters hit Portland this time of year for the really big buggers. Scott
  8. --> QUOTE(Norm B @ Dec 19 2006, 07:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just received a picture of a 31lb cod caught out of Poole on Silver Spray and a 17lb bass out of Langstone on Smoothhound. Looks like I missed a good weekend. Sure did Norm, Would you like a picture and a quick note on this fish for SAN? Scott
  9. Ahhhh, bless you Aussie's, We never get bored of hearing how great Oz is over here, even the bad things are great, if there are any bad things that is Scott
  10. Like it, or every now and then they have a surprise 'release the hounds' lap.
  11. Wow! Fair play that man, not many people can say they've done that! Scott
  12. Really? Not a big flounder? We get loads of baby halibut in Poole harbour this time of year Scott
  13. I'm surprised that I posted this yesterday morning, and not one person has commented on the capture of such a fine fish??? Shocker, or maybe other people are tripping over 20lb fish as they are so common. Scott

    FYI

24lb XChurch ledge cod, absolute lunker! Scott
  15. Here you go, 24lb of prime Poole Bay Cod, a cracking fish in first class condition. There's a few Cod showing, not in great numbers but then we're used to that, pretty sure this is the biggest so far this year for our local area. Only managed one whiting on the boat yesterday which was unusual, lots of jumbo pout and dog's. Two trawlers have been working the Cod and Whiting grounds in Poole Bay all weekend, which is horrible to see, they seem to be waiting in the wings for the first reports of fish at this time of year. Would like to congratulate Matt, the angler that landed to Cod, was his best fish to date, and he was absolutely made up, great to see. Out next weekend fishing privately with my mate, determined to get one, even a 4lb'er would do, high pressure and settled weather all week, could be the last chance for 2006! Tight lines Scott
