fishing local mill ponds yesterday after catching skimmers and bream to 6lbs float shot under ,after a 5min tussle with the pole landed a carp of about 8lbs .the carp gave a good fight but when i netted it it looked like someone had pumped it full of water ,huge belly soft and like jelly to touch,also each scale in the soft area had red edges to them any ideas what may have caused this? :confused:
