Having recently moved to Bexhill-On-Sea, and previously a member of the Darent Valley Trout Fishers, I am keen to find Trout flyfishing on any local stream or river. I have heard that the River Rother supports wild browns and indeed even Seatrout are not unknown in this water. Can anyone help with contacts/Clubs/Societies etc to fish Rother (river not stillwater fisheries)? Thank you, Best regards Flashfly

I was given some dried (salted?) sandeels from a chap as he left the pier the other day. Q.How do you use them? Do they need to be soaked prior to use, or just threaded onto the hook as they are? (they do seem a bit stiff!!) I also believe that a 'bait needle' is the way to go. Any advice, Thanks guys 'Flashfly'

My home water, Bewl, is not happy about float tubing, any waters in east Kent/Sussex area that allow tubing? I've float tubed for many years outside UK, and now back home, would like to continue doing so.

Veniards are very good on materials for trout flies but may not include what you want in the way of synthetics for sea flies. As a suggestion, why not focus on a couple of sea flies to start with, identify dressings and buy materials to tie those flies. That way you can build up a more purposeful kit

I am looking to buy a Mitchell 7730 Graphite Fly reel in servicable condition, preferably with spare spool for personal use. I have been using one with my #3wt outfit since 1987, and it really DOES float when it goes overboard! I am looking for one to go with a new #6wt Greyflex rod. Any one wishing to sell, or can offer links to search? I have searched several time on internet but no joy so far. Thanks chaps
