Well guys sorry for not putting in the correct spelling, you try doing it right when you have had a load of shandy's. I have only had about 4 good replies to my question and a total load of CARP about spelling, from a total Cod head whoe sounds like a right PILCHARD sitting there with a right BREAM on his face. Now what was the question oh yes whats the best time of the year to go MACHERAL FISHING of the SCOTTISH COAST

  13. hey guys sorry for leting you all know about the realy good venue but I;m only a part time fisher one day a week, but if you decide to come, bring with you a hand saw and a hand syth as you may need them to access many parts and dont worry about over fishing you havent a hope in hell of doing that due to the shear numbers, you could bring some live bate and let them go for food supplys. on a seriouse note if you all where to disclose the good waters we have the chance of meeting sometimes and comaring notes
  14. There is a dam good pike water in the Scottish Borders in Selkirk just 500 yds from the town center called the haining, its half a mile long by 650 yards wide, you can take your car to within 50yards of the water no permit needed just $4.00 pay the groundsman Pike to 30lb perch and roach
  15. I have been useing 12 foot 3and a half tc carp rods for my pikeing, but due to the butt lengh I cannot seem to get a good casting distance, 80 yards at the best, and I wonder if there are any shorter rods that could be used IE 9 or 10 foot,as the biggest pike are around 30lb in my area any help would be apreceated thanks
