  1. Hi guys, Fished opposite lighthouse inn, from 10am till 5pm, Conditions sunny with very little wind. Two rods, one with 2 hook flapper with size 1 hooks, baited with Rag/squid and the other 1 hook pulley 1/0 hook baited with Rag/squid. Catch one schoolie about 1lb, and a sea scorpion. Other rods on beach, few fishing for Mackeral not many caught, 7 or 8 other rods fishing along the beach didn't see any fish being caught. No weed and very little current. Taz
  2. Don't the fishermen who run the boats think of conservation or is it elsewhere that they are having problems, At least they could have used a Large landing net and returned a few to grow bigger!!
  3. Just check when you get there you might need a 'licence' cos when I fished Gran Canaria the local police were quite nasty about it.
  4. Hi all, Can anybody tell me what the fishing is like at the brighton marina or is the fishing on the beaches around the area any good yet? Is it better to fish on a spring tide or a neap tide?
  5. Brighton Marina, Free parking, Tackle shop, 24 hour supermarket with loos, plus Public loos acroos the road. I think there is a cafe but I don't know what hours it keeps, plenty of cafe's just before you enter Marina area.
  6. I am an Ex-Brighton lad, I live in the Midlands now but when I come down to see friends, I normally fish the East arm, That has the same problem, I normally walk back with at least 2 black bags of old bait papers, squid wrappings and yards of discarded nylon. Is anybody helping to clear this side up as well? let's keep this little part of the coast clean and usable for the rest of the sea fishing community. Tight lines and Happy days.
  7. Thanks Groyne Bandit, How far up the shingle because I believe it's quite a walk, I've fished Milford before and caught checkers but nothing else. What are the prospects like for other species?
  8. ThinKing of going down to New Milton in couple of weeks, whats the fishing like on the caost this time of year, do you have any recommended spots to try out, not sure what the state of the tide is over the half term, perhaps someone can advise me.
