  1. My Daughters with o2 and the service for pay as you go is appaling. £10 calling credit yesterday,2 texts from o2 this morning and the credits down to £2.25. Called customer services waited 10 minutes and run out of call time. Phoned on the landline waited 25 minutes, had a row with a foreigner and was told not to open messages from o2 when you paygo as it cost you money.they dont tell you that in the small print. What a joke Orange forever i say.
  2. Its usually the wormshaft. The wormshaft is a continuous thread, what happens is the points of the thread on the ends get damaged.this allows the pawl to travel the wrong way.Apply a bit of side pressure and it works fine. Diagnosis :- new worm, new pawl = perfick
  3. What about a 7000 for £60 inc post. Not bad on the beach but more robust than the pro rocket for boat / uptide etc. The pro rocket has a levelwind and has not been made in a CT style.
  4. Taught him all he knows LOL
  5. Chris mate your trying to sell reels to the wrong fella. How many multiplyers and fixed spools would you like mate?. Firstly, I see more reels in a month to repair and service than you could imagine so i get to see virtually everything on the market. I also have a scrap bin full of spider / tarrantula reels. They are ok while they are running after that forget it. Over the years i have seen some lovely kit come and go.But when I see something I like I will buy it.My Bantam 150 has stood the test of time and caught many large sea bass as well as pike to 26lb. Its a bit sentimetal really,I'm sure the spool is somewhere. I have tried shimano uk and Holland and my good friends in Oz.e-mails have gone out to 3 contacts in the states so I might be lucky. As for the gtm I use a pair of twin power 3500 the nuts but not for the fishing I do with the bantam.
  6. Hi All, Has anyone got a Shimano bantam that they would like to sell me. (reason) I stripped mine about 2 years ago to service it.Put it to one side in bits and forgot all about it.found it tonight and the spools missing.Knowing me I sold the spool or used it for a repair. Facied a bit of spinning this week so it would be loveluy to get another one. Cheers Doc
  7. Interested in the mitchell spools chris.

  11. Hi All I've been targeting thornys for the last 5 weeks off a mark on the isle of sheppey. I know its very early and the first flush of peelers has not happened due to the cold N.E.winds,but,I have caught 2 on micro squid. Apert from crab and squid is there another good bait that anyone has had success with and what is your favoured ray rigs. Cheers in advance

Chesters i'm 100% sure that Ian is jeffs brother.I believe he was with morritts in chime. All I have that you might have interest in is an original KP morrits service manual listing all the reels with schematics and b/w pictures. I'm afraid it was given to me by a very good friend whos now fishing in another world and is not for sale at any price. As for scans let me know by mail what you got and I will mail scans to you of those you havent. E-mail- reelrepairs@lycos.com

"Spring " try some oil or a regular service mate. Seriously though you may have poor bearings or a soft pinion gear, cant think of any other reason. Usually bomb proof. Chesters1 "what intrepid bits you after ? As for the Tatler you may be confusing me with Ian rose of paignton devon.great friend of mine but alas he has now retired. I will be taking his spares off him in the very near future,so yes a tatler will be no problem. Steady on now lads I came on here for a relaxing time LOL

High all, A lot of you will know me as "the reel doctor" or Nigel of N.J.F.Reel Repairs. I have had many people contact me and tell me you were recommended by so and so on Anglers Net. So I thought it was about time I thanked those concerned for their support. For those that dont know me you've not missed anything LOL Cheers all
