i fish at clincton woods in widnes which as 3 ponds they are good ponds,but afte a while when you fish the same place over n over,you get bored there is also spike island/carter house in widnes but i dont feel safe there to many smack heads and gangs use the footpath for the canal. i was wondering if anyone can reccomend any good safe places close to widnes what i can get to by bus or taxi, i got my driving test next week so if i pass that i can fish anywere thanks

r good idea niceone wouldnt a piece of rubber on the hook put the fish off though

at my local ponds therey have loads of baits you cant use for example,trout pelletes,sweetcorn,groundbait,liquidised bread, its getting riduiculios,u can use bread but not liquidised the baits you are allowed to use are maggots,casters,worms,bread,meat,boiles but only so many any1 got any good bait ideas for me i can use please for coarse fishing-not carping

just been watching matt hayes on sky, fiishing for carp on waggler float he said he had 8lb line all the way threw his rod,the bait he was useing was lob worm,he was hooking the worms about 3cm from there head-i didnt catch what size hook he was useing, can anyone let me know whats a good hook size to use for this method, also am i best getting 8lb line or less or more my local pits the carp go upto about 16lb i think thanks

hi i wanna try out carp fishing but i dont know what equipment to buy ive already got a carp rod-and reels but my reels are not carp reels,they are reels for when i corase fish i was wondering what equpiment i need to set my self up-i need to know what line,hooks,bait etc i need also i have problems tieng my hooks to the line the right way-ive used hook tyers in the past but i can never use them proper can any1 plz help me out thank you
