  1. Snatcher cheers for your "snatcher" lures i had a shot off Dunstanburgh Castle Craster and a had a couple of coalies and a couple of mackerel with them. Thanks again.

  3. Davey can i have a read of that article ?? I have the Sea Angler ordered at me newsagent and the dark gentlemen is a little shan to say the least and i didn't get me July issue So when you've read it mate gis a looksy.Cheers.Bigk
  4. I read in an old Improve your sea fishing mag from 1993 that Cruggleton bay area is a very good mark for pollack.A local guy won a match from a rock mark there with a huge bag of pollack for 30 odd pound not bad going for a 4 hour match.I've fancied giving it a shot but i have fished the area in the the past with nothing more but doggies and whiting. But i can see the potential for catching other species like conger etc..
  5. Has anyone on the forum fished the area in question for smoothhound i heard that the Scottish boat record was broken not so long ago and that is hopeful for the future for Smoothies being caught more regular. But what about the shore side of catching them??? I caught my first one a couple of years back down at Westward Hoe in North Devon. These fish are and will not be beat for speed and power, pound for pound these kiddies put up a -hell of a scrap!! when you hook into one of these they show you who's boss.I'd love to go back but it is a long way to travel,if anyone has any good pointers for catching them from the shore around the Mull/Whithorn area please share this info with me.Do they prefer fresh crab in this area?? If you didn't have crab for them in Devon you may aswell of gone home..
  6. Nicky you look a bit wind swept and wet did you have fun ??? You don't look very happy LOL.If its game on i'll see you at the weekend OK i'll show you where the big fish grow.........

It's a pity he's not into shore fishing he's a funny bloke just the type of guy i would love to hang out the back off only joking LOL but seriously he's from wor neck of the woods and we had a good laugh despite the lack of Tope.I'd love to have a chuck with him,and the crack in the bar after, need i say more....!!!!!!!!!!!!!
