hello bassboy,i know what you mean,why dont you try a spiral lead. they work fine, its a longish lead with a sort of little pigs tail at each end.it sounds daft but,its true.give it a try, (i was so pleased i bought the company!)

i can remember henry gilby doing 2 programmes on shore codding on the river seven.also matt hayes fishing for mullet and bass on a welsh beach,and that four eyed git off (predators).shore fishing for bass in norfolk.they all caught fish!,but i have to agree, you do have to work hard to catch fish nowadays.the alternative is watching eastenders with her indoors and visiting the in laws! (pass me the peelers please!)
