  1. Hi Ken, I usualy Behead it, gut it, and cut it into cutlets with the skin still on, then roll the cutlets in seasoned flour and fry in frying pan, the skin usualy peels off like black pudding skin, I hope this is of use to you, I prefer it to Cod or hake. Thanks again for locations you suggested for my father, haven't tried them yet but i will get round to it, I have been down west pier Swansea for some mackeral fishing which was successful, My father was chuffed, Wife fed up now she wants some other fish to eat, so might contact you if you don't mind, so we can catch fish for her.Tight lines m8.

  3. If you carry on trawling the bottom, you'll soon be out of business anyway wont you, Just because the article was in the atlantic doesn't mean they or you aren't doing it over here,Use your head! once you stop marine life living on the bottom of our oceans the rest of the eco system will break down, therefore it doesn't take much sense to realise that we will be without a great number of species before long, surely even you do not agree with this. And by the way i'm not a member of Green peace, just an ordinary sport Angler.
  4. Wurzel.Check out www.greenpeace.org.uk/oceans Select Deepsea click on Defending the deep or www.greenpeace.org.uk for the video of destruction. I think this will answer most of your questions, Not sure if you will be able to use the links but if not just go to the greenpeace web site. [ 10. August 2005, 11:11 AM: Message edited by: MARKC ]
  5. COULD IT WORK????. Why don't the Government put a total ban on all Trawler Fishing within a specified distance from our shores ,including foreign trawlers, for 2 Years, Obviously these trawlers would have to be subsidised by our government and their governments, We did it with the our Farmers years ago, the amount of money our government wastes each year would easily cover the costs, in 2 Years there should be massive replenishment of all sea living creatures, and then some form of tightening the amount and size of fish after the embargo, also stop trawlers from dragging their nets along the sea bed destroying everything in its path.
  6. cheers Steve, great site excellent info off the boys on there also,Thanks for info very happy now.
  7. Not so many years ago people would have been beheaded for treason, without busybody human rights sticking their noses in as they would have been treated the same way, If people want to live in our country then they should abide by our laws, not create their own, I haven't got a problem with race, creed or religion. But people must stay on the right side of the law and our juristictions,If they then decide to break these laws then they and all their families should be deported back to where they came from, this Country has gone soft, even with our own criminals, rights! what rights do they deserve ,they didn't think of the people or business they robbed, raped or destroyed in the process of their greed, We must get tougher or there is no hope for our once great Country. Our fathers and Forefathers fought real Wars to protect ours and other Countries Freedom, From Tyrants and Murderers. So come on everyone start lobbying your local MP's to do something about it, It's time we all stood up to be counted and told our Governments to do something about it, I know some people will be agrieved but they are in the minority, the majority of this country must take a stand. When we break a law in other countries we are treated worse than leppers and our government can't do a thing for us, We must therefore treat others as we are treated in theirs.
  8. Cheers Ken, I will go down today to do a recon with my Father, will let you know how we got off. Thanks again, and Thanks for the map can't get lost now.
