  1. just a few weeks ago me and some mates went fishing at a local venue in south wales ST DONATS and 1 of my mates had just snaped off he didnt tie shock leader back to his main line. He had 30lbs main line and decided to do a pendulum cast with no shock leader pretty dull but there u go and has he just swung it round to cast it snaped off and hit me just below the wind pipe luckly it wasnt an inch higher or i would have been in trouble so it just managed to nock the wind out of me and left a cut and a scar so guys safety is a must when casting pretty much a dull thing to say but that what mite happen
  2. the slosh30s are very good reels for fishing rocky areas due to its high gear ratio good for cranking up big fish. The handle does indeed only turn 1 way also the red block u had in that bag they are the break blocks helps stop the spool from over running and causing those annoying birds nests. it depends where u fish 15lbs is good for distance of piers beaches etc if fishing rocky areas then u need to look at stronger line say 20lbs or 25 also that for fishing for big fish as they will snap it good luck with your new gear and welcome hope u get some luck
  3. best bait for lake fishing for break roach perch etc
  4. off to do some bream and tench fishing once again thanx for the info on the ground bait i made my self worked a treat cheers guys in the weather when it is dull and cloudy possibly rain is fishing for bream etc do they tend to bite less in worse weather or is there a better bait to use in that sort of weather
  5. mackarel tend to get caught mainly off walls and piers light gear best. If fishing from shore for bass preferably use a heavy spinning rod to get at least some distance or invest in a bass or roughly 4 lbs light and flexable and see the bites better crab tends to be better off the shore same as worm good luck ne wayz
