    Glues

I do plan on doubling up all my joints with screws or bolts so the 595 should do the trick. Yak, I just remembered I've got a tube of that sticks like *hit, it is very good.

    Glues

Oh...I bought two tubes of the 595 before you posted I'm not sure I saw the Devcon 2 Ton there, and I'm concerned that the THIN plasic on the basin might not take the heat.

    Glues

Thanks SM Well I'm planning on designing and creating a small 'console' A plastic basin, with a nylon/poly 'chopping' board glued and screwed onto the top. I then plan on cutting a hole in the board and fitting a small rectangular boat hatch (screw/glue) to the board. This would allow me access to a water tight basin for the battery compartment and other stuff inside the basement. I would then like to attack the rod mounts and GPS mounts to the top of this surface. This whole design would allow me to move the 'console' backwards and forwards depending on where I am sitting in the Malibu 2 XL (Solo or tandem) would the 959 cover the whole thing?

    Glues

I was hoping I could get some opinions on the best glues to work with on Kayaks. I'm looking for the sort of glue that I would use for general work like, fixing a rod holder, glueing a polythene 'chopping' board to a plastic bucket for used as a platform for rod holders and gps/ff, glueing a pvc fitting to the inside hull for a FF transducer... etc (you get the idea) Is there one glue that does it all, or will I need different glues for different applications. Thanks in advance
  5. I'm in Jersey too Prowler is just being slack...found out I actually knew him, sent him and email to which he apologised for taking so long to respond...and I'm still waiting for his response to my reply! He never changes!! hehe Do you mean the £10,000 for a UK Record in the Jersey Open? If so, it didn't exist this year, neither did the £2,000 for the Channel Island record. They got knocked back by the insurance company becasue there have been so many records broken over the last 2 years. All they had was a shared prize of £1,000 for any Jersey record. [ 11. 6. Do you think you catch fish that have already dies when you go fishing in heaven?
  7. Hmm, now I dont know if that is an insult to GB or a set of instructions..... 'They dont have balls'?

    Battery

Oh, it's not as bad as I thought then! I should easily get one big session out of it before needing to charge it. What I do like is the size of it, same footprint as a normal motorbike battery but half the height. Oh, I also liked the price, I got it for a fiver!

    Battery

I've recently aquired a 12v 2.8aH battery. How long will this last for with my Humminbird NS25, what do you guys use/recommend? [ 06. September 2005, 05:23 PM: Message edited by: Fodder ]
  10. If by finer you mean smaller I agree L1
  11. I've been thinking (yes it hurt) Perhaps we're over complicating things here. What about a stiff metal bar with foam cladding in the middle, spanned from the rear roof rack to the front bar, then roll onto it, and hoist it down that way?
  12. I'd have to be careful, wouldn't want to be caught fishing in foreign waters!! hehe
  13. I caught one on my maiden voyage this week. All I was doing was trolling some feathers and a 50g yann over about 20-30ft of water. I let the yann sink, then gave it a few turns and started to paddle. The Bass hit the yann. The following day I did the same thing and got 8 mackies instead. Another thing to try is trolling a Rapala Sliver or a J13 behind the yak in quite shallow water around rocks and reefs, especially around dawn and dusk.
