  2. last night in a local match i caught a 43cm flounder is there a download guide/graph were the weights of fish can be roughly gauged by length?? as they are in tope/shark fishing cheers mack
  3. well, i bought 2 new 525 mags 3 months ago and the bearing are already boogered in them but then again they get hammered but aparantly penn bearing aint much good and if u get a season out of them u have done well
  4. assuming they are sterlets they will max out at about 3.5-4ft long if they are siberian sturgeon (often sold as sterlets/long nose stergeon) they can reach about 6ft (12ft in large open lakes) i have a siberian that is rapidly outgrowing my pond, last measurement was 22" heres a link to look at for more info http://www.sturgeon-web.co.uk/ mack

  6. cheers chaps been given a bearing code (mr128) that is not a penn part but it is a higher grade bearing supplied by a local company will pick one up tomorro and let y'all know if it works
  7. yup, they are not there stan the bearing is in the recess in the casting (gold) in the pic) which fits on the inside of the end plate they are not listed in the schematics
  8. does anyone have the part number for this bearing on a penn 525 mag the schematics dont seem to have it listed cheers
  9. it has the eyes and head of a dab but has the colouration and dorsal fin of a flounder is it possible they interbreed?
  10. the "not enough food" argument is rather hard to swallow... (forgive the pun) the amount of "sile", spratts and and mackrel in the north sea this year has been unbelievable i have been fishin on the beach and seen the water boiling with small black fish (spratts) the cod, whiting i have already caught this year had been stuffed full of food spitting out shrimps,crabs and even live sprats i dont buy that excuse, sorry
