I had one about 15 years ago, I did a house clearance and found it, It was green. two piece, screw joint, with a hardwood handle. I mentioned it to the lad in Bagnall & Kirkwood Newcastle, and he even had a spare tip. Dunno what happened to it. I still have the first rod my father ever bought me, about 4 ft, two piece, solid glassfibre. Teamed it with a tiny fixed spool to catch sprats off Beadnell Harbour, Northumberland. I must have been ten maybe, so about 1966 1967, I wouldnt sell you it for a thousand pounds.

HiSkippy, Funny you should say that, i eas in my local tackle shop yesterday, when a woman walked in and said her husband had called her from the beach, askng her to call in, and tell the owner his greys rod had snapped. It appears to be all too comon, and as you say, inconvenient. Im lucky, I can drive to the factory in 20 mins, but how many can do that. I own a Greys platinum XS, the reel seat doesnt grip the reel foot on a Penn535GS, I emailed them, they didnt even reply.
