  1. I fish Vauxhall waters. You'll have a long walk to find where he fished on the video as I think he was at Odell. Great programme, I have it on vid somewhere. If you want to see where he was standing by the bridge take the A6 out of Bedford heading north until you get to Milton Ernest. Just after the Queens Head on the left there is a turning for Radwell. Follow this road and you'll get to that bridge after 2 or so miles.
  2. In order of preference PowerPro, GR60 yes and then Daiwa Sensor
  3. Grab hold of your local Yellow Pages and call Seed Merchants for hemp, trouties and anything else you can think of. You'll be amazed at the difference in prices but be prepared to buy in bulk.
  4. Don't forget the really best thing, cheaper Get the Run Free stuff though. It's just that more people know what you mean when you say Korda.
  5. If using net bags ala Korda just put them on the hook. Better go get an aspirin after that one
  6. Sorry Dean but the south east is a mighty big place. Any chance of getting down to counties at least ?
  7. Great rod choice though ! Get one you won't be disapointed as long as you use it what it is meant to do.
  8. Third season woth my Evo Bivvy and so far no real complaints. Handled everything thrown at it from full on gales to ice in the margin nights. Have done up to 5 nights but it struggled with that amount of kit much more suited to overnights up to 3. The thing I like about it most has been covered it is so light and also easy to put up and down so there is no hesitation about moving.
  9. Damned hard. Had a going bait on the left hand lake but managed 4 fish in about 22 sessions. OK this was years ago but now a days I go to Catch 22 if I am able to fish in the area. Nice hybrids and crucians though.
  10. Certainly does for barbel, chub and a particularly monster eel !
  11. Never got to the bottom of it I'm afraid. Managed to get 10 litres from a farmer that was fantastic but alas the old boy past away before I could get more and the son folded the business. [ 16. January 2003, 10:54 PM: Message edited by: Andy Thatcher ]
  12. I think the one Warren's chasing is the best I have seen so I would be tempted to wait a while.
  13. Could a moderator move this post to the main board please ? This guy looks angry enough without having to ask him to try where it would be appropriate ! (edit note - moved from session carp fishing to here where more folks will see it). [ 15. January 2003, 10:01 PM: Message edited by: Newt ]
  14. Yes you are right Dunk but for some odd reason some of these tubes are rectangular, go figure !
  15. I don't think these are made anymore but there are now barbel, pike and catfish tubes that do the same job. If you struggle to find any check out the Leslies website or any other major tackle shop site.
  16. Damn and I thought that was just my little edge ! Goes to show there is nothing new in this game
  17. I have the odd 15kg of Ewe Nuts as well. Trouble is that for one reason or other my fishing has moved away from using them so can't really tell you how effective they are. Come the closed season I'll do a bit more carping and get a better idea. The thing I am on the look out for is CSL at a reasonable price. I just do not seem able to source it. If I want a tanker load no problem but try getting under 10 litres ! Any ideas ?
  18. I just wish you'd stop sitting on the fence and say what you mean Gaffer No on second thoughts maybe you'd better not
  19. I think that would be about September ! Never seen the link before but I'll give it a go.
  20. I am forever in awe of the restrained nature of posters. Well said and done ! The thing that would also give me the hump is that the bailiff let him continue fishing with a fixed lead !
  21. I kinda like his Headtorch but at £15 it's cheap and not a total loss when I have to throw it away due to it failing. How's that for optimism
