  8. bart4real i know exactly what you mean, its a method that requires very little skill, and a way of fishing i refuse to do even if sometimes catching less, but you cant blame the makers of the pole its the anglers who invent the different ways of catching, the makers just make the tools to perfect it. the floating pole is only a bolt rig, so is it any different to a carp angler casting out a fixed bolt rig and waiting for the alarm? or the method feeder? while ever anglers look for easy ways of catching fish self hooking rigs will be here to stay, like it or not,

  20. a top 3 kit? the tip section is No 1 the next section No2 and so on, most poles now come with at least a spare top 3, which you will need to cover the 2 different fishing venues, now to catch double figure fish you need the pole to have an elastic rating of 16 or above, so make sure before you buy that it will handle big fish, so in one of the top 3s you will have heavy elastic try 16 to start with, in the other top 3 try 6/8 elastic which is thinner for the smaller fish on the river.(hope that makes sense) the elastic sizes are only rough guide to start with, they can be changed to suit different size of fish, good luck.

  22. Hi Elton, that rod will do the job no problem, when you cast out the carp wont know what graphics are on the rod, if it makes you feel better put a sticker saying carp over the pike, i use an 11 ft. carp rod cos its easier to transport, you'll just not be able to cast as far as a longer rod.
