  2. i feel for you hunter you could aproach the so called anglers, but that can result in a less than satisfactory result ie a smack in the mouth, or worse, and a tit for tat as peter sugest`s(no disrespect meant peter) isnt the way to go either, its just not game(pardon the pun), the fisheries in scotland run by coarse anglers that you mention could hold the answer, or at least a start of some form of aliance or recognised body in your parts. sorry this isnt really any help but im at a loss to what you can do really, read leons article, and pass it around as much as possible, you have the internet and im sure you have some contact with the fisheries you mention so email them and give it a go. we are yet again under threat of losing all our pike on our local waters so as i said at the start, i sort of know how you feel.

  4. hi liam good to see you back ive been usig xp pro for some time now, i think its great, if you dont like the look, then you can opt to run it as classic, all the benifits of xp with an almost 9xxx(ME) feel. if its hardware and add on probs, well i can understand that, but shouldnt be any real problem, just a bit of a pain, updating drivers and the like. i too saw the PNP warning, about a month ago, i find it a bit strange that PNP can cause security problems, never the less, they released a patch, so its not any great cause for alarm, by the way it also effcts ME and 98. more info here http://www.ahherald.com/bcug/2002/bs020124...24_security.htm these things happen all the time as you know liam, rushing out os`s not finished, they are still finding security probs and others with 9xx and ME, it will go on forever i think, a good option though for people worried about it is to use windows update, normally a few paranoia updated every few days. so on to things more important mate, when are you coming fishing, youve had a week or so off now, so i expect by tuesday you will need some release, so how about it, il keep plugging till you come you know [ 24 February 2002, 10:40 PM: Message edited by: Gray-Catchpole ]

  14. janger, good point, yes he has, but he got a 8-day trout, coarse fish and eels for £6.50, his lad is 11 so he doesnt need one, as at the time didnt know if he would like it, but they both want to come on the weekend and they love it. i intend to take them out during the closed season as well, so dont worry he will be covered. and hopefully for many years to come.
