Devon crabs!!

Hi,

I am going for smoothhounds soon and i need to get hold of some decent crabs. I heard that devon crabs are the best size, does anyone know were i can get them mail order(live)?

from my experience of hounds, they will eat any crab. As long as they are out in front of you you can catch on peelers, softies, crispies and ive also caught on frozen crab which has defrosted and been kept cold in the fridge overnight before using the next day. lol.

 

Devon crab can be dear and is always as good or big as some local crab u may get.

 

Just concentrate on getting crab and dont worry bout where its from.

Crab is the favourite bait; but so far this year we've been catching a lot on squid (which is nice and cheap!!)

I think i will hit the river to see what crabs are up there! its hard work but may be worth it!

If that fails may try squid or even give you a ring at the shop claire.
