Penn Tidecutter 12-20

Hi

Have been looking at the Penn Tidecutter 12-20 boat rod, looks a lovely rod for drift fishing with bait ... so am very tempted.

I'm wondering if anybody knows anything about this rod? or is it better going for a Team Daiwa 12-30 rod? or any others with similar action.

Any thoughts from anyone ....?

Just bringing this one back to the top as it deserves an answer or questions.

I have the 20-30lb tidecutter and it's a very nice rod, just about right for leadheading over wrecks although pretty good drift fishing too. I'd be tempted to get a 12-20lb but really like the Shimano Antares and would probably go for that one instead after having a go of one last september. The only thing I don't like about it is the push in spigot, which although does keep the overall rod weight down, doesn't flood you with confidence when the rod is fully loaded.
