hi to you all, apart from a few trips in a surf kayak last summer in portland harbour, im new to this game. having said that im an experienced angler,i,ve just about got my new kayak rigged and im cant wait to get out there.

i would appreciate any tips on marks and methods in and around portland.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Launching at Castletown public slipway on the ebb paddling out through the southern entrance past the H.M.S. Hood and into Balaclava bay or on to Grove Point for Conger at night on the neap tides :thumbs:

have you done much around gosport/pompey harbour. i get up there now and then some of the creeks look like they could be worth a try.

I've launched at Browndown quite a few times fished Sturbridge Shoal and Ryde Middle along with a few marks around the Stokes Bay area-----had a 6lb odd Cod there a couple of years ago and not too far offshore :thumbs:

 

I don't tend to fish harbours much,just a bit in winter or when it is too rough to go out to sea
