Brown Trout First Cast?

Hiya, I'm waiting on Alan smuggling a smoker on his plane in May.Then I will give it a go.

Just had courier drop a package off in office, the delivery man was telling me thats him finished for the day, and is heading out for some "early" trout fishing, is a certain loch that only fishes well up until mid May, where the average size of fish is between 2-6lb. After May, hardly a fish is caught in it.

 

It's a loch right beside the sea, and when you pick up stones wee shrimps are under the rocks.

 

Is a lovely day here today, hard to believe this time last week we had blizzards, and a couple of inches of snow on the ground.

Hi Gillies, So he's poaching in other words. I thought the season didn't start for a wee while yet, at least not down here anyway. But, SHHH, I wont say a word.

It doesn't start for another 2 weeks or so, this loch is a very early loch though, and fantastic trout can be caught - so he's giving it a go.

 

No law against fishing for wild brown trout up here on lochs that have not been stocked or dont have migratory running it, as far as I know - but is a bit early, despite the lovely weather
