Tackle shops: Best lure selection (in Medway)

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for the shop in Medway (or surrounds), that stocks the largest selection of art lures and flies.

I guess a few of you know all the tackle shops in Medway and could save me some driving with your recommendations :-)

Thanks,

Arf

As I bit into the nectarine, it had a crisp juiciness about it that was very pleasurable - until I realized it wasn't a nectarine at all, but A HUMAN HEAD!

Apart from the shop on the corner of Franklin Road in Gillingham and the Shop at the Rochesterend of Chatham high Street - behind St Barts hospital, I can't think of any others likely to be of any use. There is a decent shop in Tunbridge Wells which specialises in predator equipment and has a good reputation (according to a friend of mine who fished around that area.)

What about Maidstone Angling, off Sandling Road - I know they have a fairly broad spectrum in stock.

Not much help, I know, but I hope it's been of some use.

Alan's right there is not much to be had in Medway Arf (unless its form my lure boxes :D), Your best bet is the shop referred to in Tunbridge Wells called the friendly Fisherman in Camden Road. Maidstone Angling have a few lures mainly the Fox stuf, and can be useful for odd bits and bobs.

Yeah, definitely The Friendly Fisherman in TW. Great stock and brilliant advice.

Wow, the Friendly Fisherman website looks great.

I think I shall be investing in some fly tying gear shortly.

Thanks for the support, guys...

I was at work and couldn't remeber the name The Friendly Fisherman...if you'd known how hard I was beating myself up over that!!

In fairness, The tacklebox in Dartford - although strongly carp orientated, does have a reasonable predator range and they are an awesomely knowledgeable crowd...for God's sake, Lee Jackson is usually in front of house and I suspect he's forgotten more than many keen anglers would know!.
