remember it well , i was fishing at a place in norfolk called Gimmingham loverly mirror to the weight of 17 lbs - made me sweat and shake . Fell to a strawberry pop up using the 'method' for the first time , what a day .

Had my first 20 this season 22lb common on pepporami - thorght it was going to pull my arm off.

Definitely had a 12lber in 1956, this was weighed a photographed, followed very soon after by a 14, but my first was probably a couple of years earlier, got the pic somewhere but it wasn't weighed,

Never had need to until now (sob) but a new net set is top of the list.

my first double was a wildie of exactly 10lb about 3 years ago caught on meat at a tiny little pond called bowscar.just outside penrith .

 

since then i have upped the ante a bit and my pb is now 20lb4oz on the pole with a 4lb12oz bottom.

its also a whins pond record so far anyway.

 

they are bl@@dy hard to land at that size tho.
