What hooklink material for method fishing?

What hooklink materials are people using when fishing the method?

I have always used a short 3-4inch length of braid, but I wondered the other day whether or not the method could be used in conjunction with a stiff type of material, perhaps somehting like the Terry Hearn stiff rig presentation?

Also, what do you all think is best; a long or short hooklink for method fishing? And, in or out of the ball?

Tight lines.

shooter - dunno where all the experts are hiding out today.

I'd help but I know zero about method fishing. Or less.

Shooter, short, about 4-5inches and very supple.

Tighten down to the feeder so it acts as a bolt rig.

If you use a stiff link then the fish can't suck the bait in very easily. I try to set it all up to suit a fish of about 15lbs or more, and give the fish just enough rope to hook itself.

Shooter, havnt used the method for a long time but what i used to do was fish it helicopter style with the hook lengh about 4" long lightly pushed into the ball of ground bait. Give it a try at least you know the feeders not going to be laying on top of your hook bait!!
