Easy fishery

could someone possibly let me know where there is an easy carp lake around the beccles area or within a hours drive of it.

The reason being that the girlfriend has started to take an interest in my fishing and to save argument i have decided to take her with me :P .

The reason i want to find an easy place with small and big carp is to keep her interested because i can't see her sitting behind buzzers for two days with not a lot happening, it would be nice for her to catch fish up to around the 8lb mark but there has to be some doubles in there for me :D

any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I can't help with fisheries in your area.

However why not take her float fishing for smaller species? Lots from action, something to look at and more chance of her wanting to fish again.

Carp can then come later if she gets the bug, although you could of course have a carp rod out as well.

Dear Bulster

Have you tried Barford lakes just north of Norwich, this would be good for the girlfriend, but the multitude of rules that come with this fishery will not allow you to use 3 rods, buzzers etc, you both would only be allowed to use float gear with one rod each. If not why not try Hall farm fisheries at Burgh Castle, (near Bradwell Gt. Yar) this has a good stock of twenties with plenty of smaller carp. This fishery is rarely out of the local papers due to it's good catch reports.
