Bait Ingredients

I have had some Nashbait fishmeal now for about 5 years and wondered if it was still ok to use it? It has been kept in a dark, cool cupboard in a sealed bucket. Do flavours and base mixes go off, and if so how long does it take?

It is upto to you, but I would think that any oils that are in the fishmeal would have gone well off by now.

 

YES, flavours and base mixes do go off.

 

If you think about this for one minute.

 

A lot of the protein base mix stuff can be bought under different guises for human consumtion, and it all has a use by date.

 

If you have any base mixes or base mix ingredients, or bottles of stuff that you are not sure about then DO NOT USE THEM.

I have used some Nash bait fishmeals that ought to have been left in a dark cupboard!
