new to carp fishing

could someone please help me out.ive just started up fishing again for the first time in about 10 years and i would like to know what is the best way of catching carp and the best tackle to use.

the best tackle for carp is a very big subject so that to get the best answer a few more details are needed.

you need to know what waters your going to fish and are the carp normally in the margins or a long way out say near an island?

what size carp are in the waters?

how many?

any method can work but fishing for upto 4lb carp is very different to fishing for 20lb plus carp.

so if you can post a few more details someone here can help.
